Friess Associates, a unit of AMG, has tapped John Dodd for its client services team, a spokesperson with the firm told the MutualFundWire.com. Dodd comes to the firm from The Boston Company, where he also served in client services.

"John's addition furthers our commitment to providing clients and institutional consultants with dedicated client service delivered by high-caliber folks focused solely on client needs so our 34 research professionals can focus on picking stocks," opined Bill D'Alonzo, cio.

The new executive will report to D'Alonzo and founder Foster Friess. He will focus on institutional clients through the Brandywine funds and separate accounts portfolios.

Dodd has also had stints at Fidelity, New England Investment Associates, DLJ, and Goldman Sachs.
