Monday, February 11, 2002 Evergreen Sprouts New Logo Despite the recession and volatility in the marketplace, one asset manager is still getting aggressive with its marketing. Evergreen Investments is launching a rebranding campaign, which includes a change for its logo, a spokesperson with the firm told the MutualFundWire.com. "We have consolidated all asset management businesses under a common entity. The rebranding is the latest step in an ongoing effort," the official reported. The firm also has a new tag line: Investments that Stand the Test of Time. "We are trying to leverage the strength of our business," he contended. "We have $200 billion in assets under management that span a number of business lines. We are one of the top 30 asset managers in the world, in terms of assets under management. But we are under recognized. Part of the reason for that may be that we have come so far so fast." "We have brought our institutional investment business and our asset management business all under one umbrella," the spokesperson continued. "Our goal is simple--to establish a clear, distinctive, memorable voice for our firm," explained Ruth Papazian, chief marketing officer for Evergreen Investments. "To achieve this, we will communicate the same message across all business lines, emphasizing that year in and year out, we provide investments that stand the test of time."
