Friday, May 31, 2002 Hartford Life Realigns VA Distribution Hartford Life Insurance Company announced the realignment of distribution to increase sales for the Putnam Hartford Capital Manager variable annuity product line. Planco, Hartford Life's distribution company, will manage sales and marketing for the suite of Putnam Hartford Capital Manager products starting on July 1. Hartford Life expects to double the number of wholesalers for Putnam Hartford Capital Manager and build a wholesaling support team dedicated to increasing Putnam Hartford variable annuity sales. "Hartford Life and Putnam have had a highly successful relationship for 15 years, one of the longest standing partnerships in the variable annuity business," elaborated Tom Marra, president and chief operating officer at Hartford. He added that the new distribution plan stems from an increased level of commitment by the two companies to the variable annuity product suite.
