Wednesday, June 26, 2002 Remember the 529 It seems to be raining 529 contracts this week. Well, Texas has jumped up on the 529 bandwagon and picked Enterprise Capital Management to manage, distribute, and market its college savings plan. The offering will be available starting in the autumn of this year. This is the second plan for the state. The investment requirement for this new plan is a minimum of $25. Nothing is more important than education. I want our hard-working Texas families to have as many options as possible to save for their children's college education. Through our partnership with Enterprise Capital Management, Texas' 529 college savings plan will offer a variety of investment options to suit any family's budget, investment style and college savings timeline," stated Carole Keeton Rylander, Texas comptroller of public accounts. Enterprise will offer age-based portfolios, static allocation portfolios, and single fund options. Printed from: MFWire.com/story.asp?s=2948 Copyright 2002, InvestmentWires, Inc. All Rights Reserved |
