Mutual of America Lands an Intrepid PM


PM CHANGES:
Benjamin L. Heben is the new portfolio manager on three Mutual of America Institutional Funds: Equity Index Fund, All America Fund and Mid-Cap Equity Index. Heben joins the firm from Intrepid Capital Management and takes the title of second vice president with Mutual of America. He replaces Eleanor Innes and Thomas J. Dillman as PM for the large cap value and large cap growth segments of the All America Fund.

Wellington Management Company has added Michael T. Masdea to the portfolio management team subadvising the USAA Science and Technology Fund. Masdea, who joined Wellington in 2008, will be responsible for the technology portion of the fund.

Nashira S. Wynn is resigning from Delaware Investments where she was a PM for the Delaware Dividend Income Fund and the Delaware Value Fund. Her duties are being picked up by other members of the Delaware Large-Cap Value Focus Equity Team.

Lale Topcuoglu has joined Ben Johnson as PM for the Goldman Sachs Investment Grade Credit Fund (GSCPX). She is an 11 year veteran at Goldman Sachs and takes over from James Cielinski, a Goldman Sachs managing director and Head of Investment Grade Credit team, who had been been co-PM on the fund since 2003.

OPENINGS & CLOSINGS:
Legg Mason's fund trustees have approved the merger of Legg Mason Lifestyle Income Fund into the Legg Mason Lifestyle Allocation 30%. Both funds are a series of Legg Mason Partners Equity Trust. The merger is expected to take place on September 24, 2010.
