Delaware Adds Two

Delaware Investments has tapped FOLIOfn and 1838 Investment Advisors to land Stephen Starnes and Theodore Smith. The pair will head a Wealth Management Group. The new management group will report to Richard J. Flannery, executive vice president and chief administrative officer.

Initially, they will focus on growing the existing managed account business. Longer run, they will develop a more complete wealth management capability for the firm.

Starnes will serve as senior vice president of Wealth Management Group and will have responsibility for the managed accounts business and will coordinate closely with Lincoln Financial, Delaware Investments' affiliate and key distribution partner.

Starnes comes to Delaware Investments from 1838 Investment Advisors. There he served as director and initiated the broker-related distribution of the firm's investment products using separate account platforms.

Smith joins Delaware Investments as vice president of Wealth Management Group from FOLIOfn where he served as vice president of Business Development. There he led the financial services and technology company into the managed accounts platform and development of the overall wealth management initiative.
