Mutual of America Funds See a Change at the Top


Mutual of America has tapped a new chief for its mutual fund arm. John R. Greed has taken over as president and CEO of the Mutual of America Institutional Funds [see profile]. The post had been held by Manfred Altstadt. The change was revealed Friday afternoon in a filing with the SEC. Why Alstadt left the role and what his current role is was not disclosed in the filing. Company officials could not be immediately reached for comment on the change.

The filing also stated that George L. Medlin has joined the board of the funds as an executive vice president and chief financial officer for the funds. Greed had previously been listed as CFO for the funds.

The New York City-based fund family sponsors 23 mutual funds is part of Mutual of America Life Insurance Company.
