Thursday, August 26, 2010 MassMutual Awards Two Subadvisor Mandates MassMutual is shaking up the subadvisors the on two of the mutual funds used in its MML product line. The changes are coming at the MML Emerging Growth Fund and the MML Growth & Income Fund. [SEC filing]. The Spingfield, Massachusetts-based insurer pulled the plug on Insight Capital Research & Management as a subadvisor to the Emerging Growth Fund. Essex Investment Management Company remains as the sole subadvisor to the fund. Separately, it tapped Massachusetts Financial Services (MFS) and BlackRock Investment Management as new subadvisors to its Growth & Income Fund. MFS takes over for Capital Guardian Trust Company while BlackRock replaced American Century Investment Management. The prospectus did not provide any reason for the changes.
