This year, Ross started sporting the new title of global head of ETFs at the Boston firm. He also continues in his role as president of SSgA Funds Management, where he oversees both ETFs and mutual funds offered through financial intermediaries. In June, he succeeded Invesco PowerShares founder and chairman Bruce Bond as chairman of the Investment Company Institute's ETF committee.
