Friday, November 19, 2010 SEC Confirms Buzz About Buddy's Interim Replacement Today is Buddy Donahue's last day at the SEC and the commission chose this day to confirm buzz about Jennifer McHugh taking over as acting director of the division of investment management. McHugh will run the division until a new director is appointed. An 11-year SEC veteran, McHugh currently serves as a senior advisor to Chairman Mary Schapiro. She advises Schapiro on issues pertaining to mutual funds and investment advisers. "Jennifer is extremely well-versed in the operations of the Division and has extensive knowledge of the mutual fund industry," Schapiro said in a press release.
