Tuesday, November 30, 2010 Falcon Lands on Gatch's Shoulders
Michael Falcon, a former head of Merrill Lynch's retirement division, will oversee the money center bank's bundled retirement plan and defined contribution investment-only (DC I-O) businesses. "The retirement industry is poised to enter a period of unprecedented growth and expansion, with Defined Contribution, Individual Retirement Accounts and after tax retirement savings increasingly generating the bulk of investable assets," Gatch said in a press release on Tuesday.
Falcon started his career at The Chase Manhattan Bank in 1985 and later worked at Sara Lee Corporation. Most recently, he has been managing a financial media and consulting firm started by NBC's Today financial edtior Jean Chatzky.
