Alpine Takes a Walk on State Street

The Alpine Funds [see profile] made some changes to its vendor list. [SEC filing]

State Street Bank and Trust Company is now the mutual funds' custodian, fund accountant and administrator. U.S. Bank previously provided custody services and U.S. Bancorp Fund Services previously handled fund accounting and administration.

Boston Financial Data Services, a 50-50 joint venture between State Street and DST Systems, has become Alpine's transfer agent, taking over from U.S. Bancorp Fund Services.

Alpine, based out of Purchase, New York, also hired a new counsel. Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP bagged the mandate, replacing Blank Rome LLP.

Quasar Distributors, a subsidiary of U.S. Bancorp, continues to serve as the funds' distributor.

Sam Lieber, CEO of Alpine Woods Capital Investors, could not immediately be reached for comment on the vendor changes.
