Ameritrade Adds Bunched Trades

Ameritrade has launched a new service for investment advisors and broker-dealers designed to enable group trades for execution. The bunched trading and account grouping enhancements are part of the Ameritrade Connection services platform offered to institutional clients.

Bunched trading essentially lets institutional clients place equity and options trades across multiple accounts with one order. Trades can be allocated to accounts in proportions determined by the advisor or registered representative either as share amounts or percentage of total shares. Trades may also be processed as block orders for price improvement and order anonymity.

Clients can also create groups of accounts based on defined criteria, providing increased customization in account organization functionality.
