Tuesday, October 1, 2002 Stilwell Assets Fell in September Assets in the Stilwell (soon-to-be-Janus) fund complex continued to melt even as Summer turned to Fall. The Kansas City-headquartered firm said today that assets shriveled by 7.3 percent in the month of September and more than 18 percent from a year ago. Total assets at Stilwell hit $139 billion on September 30. On August 30 Stilwell's assets were $150 billion. Average assets at the firm for the third quarter fell 16.3 percent from the second quarter to $148 billion from $177 billion, the company said.
