What Fund Do Nuveen, Pimco and Pru All Want to Launch?


Nuveen, Pimco and Prudential all plan to launch bank loan funds in 2011. Bloomberg revealed that tidbit and more in an article yesterday on the recent popularity of the niche mutual funds, notably Scott Page and Craig Russ' $1.5 billion Eaton Vance Floating-Rate Advantage Fund [see profile].

Bloomberg reports that, according to Morningstar, bank loan funds attracted a record $5.62 billion in net inflows in January.
