Morgan Stanley Alums Join Cortina

Two Morgan Stanley Investment Management alums have joined Cortina Asset Management, a Milwaukee-headquartered firm that manages money for institutional clients. The new hires work out of Cortina's recently opened New York City office.

The new hires include Alexander Yaggy, who previously co-managed the Morgan Stanley/Van Kampen Small Cap Value Funds and the Morgan Stanley Small-Mid Value Fund. Earlier, Yaggy worked at Neuberger Berman and Legg Mason.

Yaggy is joined at Cortina by his fellow MSIM alum, Andrew Storm, who was an analyst on the Morgan Stanley/Van Kampen Small Cap Value Funds and the Morgan Stanley Small-Mid Value Fund.

Another new hire at Cortina is John Clausen, who previously worked for the Mutual Series Group of Franklin Templeton Investments, the State of New Jersey Division of Investments and the Federal Reserve Bank of New York.

Cortina has launched a pair of strategies, Small Cap Value strategy and the Cortina SMID Value, both of which are managed by Yaggy's team.
