Wells Fargo Wraps Up Fund Mergers

Wells Fargo Advantage Funds has completed the merger of eight funds into others within the family.

Also, two Wells Fargo funds will see sub-advisor changes in the fourth quarter. Golden Capital Management will take over sub-advisory duties from Wells Capital Management for the Wells Fargo Advantage Disciplined U.S. Core Fund and Index Portfolio.

The fund board greenlighted the merger and sub-advisor switch proposals in May. Shareholders gave their approval at a meeting on August 19.

"The completion of the mergers demonstrates our commitment to providing a more streamlined, consolidated and competitive product line," Karla Rabusch, president of Wells Fargo Advantage Funds, in a press release.
