Ariel Prez Bags Entrepreneur of the Year Award

Traders Magazine revealed the winners of its inaugural "Wall Street Women: A Celebration of Excellence." Ariel Investments [see profile] president Mellody Hobson is among the 16 awardees that will be honored today at the New York Academy of Sciences.

Hobson is one of two winners of the Entrepreneur of the Year Award. The other is Dana Telsey, CEO and chief research officer of Telsey Advisory Group.

Hobson started out as an Ariel intern in 1987 and rose to become president of the Chicago-based company.
