Berkowitz Does Own Something Other than Banks and Insurers

Bruce Berkowitz of Fairholme Capital Management [profile] is often in the headlines for his bets on financial stocks. Bank and insurance stocks, though, are not the only ones in his portfolio. Seeking Alpha's. Mike Young takes a look at the other top holdings in Berkowitz's Fairholme Fund, including Sears Corporation, Brookfield Asset Management and St. Joe Company.

Berkowitz's stake in St. Joe has also landed him in the news. As fundsters may recall, the SEC in July launched a formal probe of St. Joe, a WaterSound, Florida-based property developer. The SEC's investigation involves antifraud questions, compliance around reporting by its biggest shareholders such as Fairholme, and others.
