Wednesday, January 18, 2012 T. Rowe Chairman Wanted 'Occupy' Protesters Evicted from Park T. Rowe Price [profile] chairman Brian Rogers was among the Baltimore executives that lobbied last year for "Occupy" protesters to leave an Inner Harbor Park, the Baltimore Sun reports. "Is it legal to live/camp in a city park? There's a difference between freedom of speech and what I see every day!" Rogers reportedly wrote to Deputy Mayor Kaliope Parthemos last November. "We agree," Parthemos wrote. "Its what citys [sic] are struggling with all over the country with this movement (as you know)." The T. Rowe building overlooks a park where demonstrators gathered for weeks, beating drums and pitching tents. The pub made sure to note that Rogers' "$7 million annual income places him solidly in the top 1 percent." Rogers was not the only one who lobbied for the protesters' eviction, according to e-mails the Baltimore Sun got hold of through a Public Information Act request. Those e-mails spanned September 28 to December 2. Rogers declined to comment to the Baltimore Sun. Printed from: MFWire.com/story.asp?s=38868 Copyright 2012, InvestmentWires, Inc.
