An Investing Pub Highlights American Funds' and Janus' Woes

Motley Fools' Amanda Kish today picks up on the fact that American Funds' flagship American Funds Growth Fund America has suffered huge outflows last year, making the fund see its biggest asset lost since the end of 2007.

Specifically, the flagship fund reportedly lost 33$ billion of outflows, which formed part of the $81 billion total outflows that the whole firm experienced.

Kish also reports that Janus funds, another big name in the money market, has suffered as investors "have yanked assets from their Janus funds, contributing to a 46 percent decline in fourth-quarter profits for the firm."
