Wednesday, June 6, 2012 Global X Floats Another Hedge Fund ETF Global X debuts a hedge fund ETF today, joining the set of new funds which followed the launch of AlphaClone and Exchange-Traded Concepts' AlphaClone Alternative Alpha ETF, the first in the market to replicate hedge funds. Seeking Alpha and MarketWatch reported the launch. Global X's Top Guru Holdings Index ETF, with the ticker GURU, will try to replicate positions and strategies by hedge funds but its underlying index will only include those with concentrated top holdings. Seeking Alpha also reports that Global X will come up with the underlying index using 13F filings to the SEC made by the hedge funds.
