Scanlan Nears His CFO Choice for RS

After a summer of searching, RS Investments [profile] is closing in on its new CFO hire.

Former CFO Jim Klescewski left the San Franscisco-based Guardian affiliate a few months ago, an employee at the firm confirmed to the MFWire.

Company spokeswoman Patricia Harden confirmed that the company plans to name a new chief financial officer "soon".

Klescewski, who oversaw reporting and accounting functions at the $22 billion asset management firm, had been with RS Investments since 2006.

This is only the latest of a series of C-level changes at the San Francisco firm.

Former Barclays Global Investors executive Matthew Scanlan took over as chief executive in January.

Three other C-level officers have joined this year: Scott Clifford as chief investment officer; Brian Tutor as chief operating officer and Margherita DiManni as general counsel and secretary.
