Jacksonville Rides Fidelity's Tide

Fidelity Investments [profile] is growing, and Jacksonville is one of the cities that is growing with the financial services giant, according to the Jacksonville Business Journal.

The paper reported that the Boston-based firm employs about 800 people in Jacksonville, and while there are no exact estimates for future employment growth, Kathleen Murphy, president of personal investing at Fidelity, said the company’s presence in Jacksonville will continue to grow.

“We’ll continue to be supportive of the environment here,” Murphy told the newspaper. “We’re absolutely committed to this area.”

One of Fidelity Investments’ five regional personal investment call centers is in Jacksonville, and one of its 172 branches are located in the city's St. Johns Town Center.
