Monday, October 22, 2012 Skandia-Old Mutual Merger Prompts Big Distribution Push Third-party distribution is the new focus for Old Mutual Global Investors [profile], the group created after the merger between Skandia Investment Group and Old Mutual Asset Manager, reports Fundweb. Old Mutual, spearheaded by CEO Julian Ide, will grow third-party distribution through independent advisers as well as banks and wealth managers. There have been many personnel changes tied to this increased focus on sales. James Millard , who formerly served as Skandia CIO, is now director of investments, while Paul Nathan is now CIO, and Mitchell Dean is CFO. Other changes include Ashton Bradbury becoming the new head of equities, Stewart Cowley the new fixed income head, Paul Simpson the new head of alternatives, John Ventrea the head of multi-manager, Warren Tonkinson the head of distribution, Celeste Dias-Brennan the head of product and Marcus Bolitho as head of marketing.
