An NY Mutual Fund Shop Seeks Four Sales Bigwigs


The New York-based fund shop, Fred Alger [profile] is looking to significantly expand its senior sales management.

In particular, the firm is looking to hire three senior vice presidents and a regional vice president.

The first person is a senior vice president, director of international sales. This executive will increase Alger’s geographic footprint and help the firm expand into Europe and Asia.

The next senior vice president opening is for a director of marketing. This executive will be responsible for for all of Alger’s marketing activities.

“The director will develop Alger’s strategic marketing plan in addition to designing, planning, directing, and coordinating Alger’s marketing efforts across all sales channels,” according to the Alger website.

The third senior vice president director of institutional sales, will be "actively involved in increasing our assets with institutional clients, with a focus on increasing Alger’s market penetration with the consultant community," according to the Alger website.

Finally, the firm is looking for at least one regional vice president to develop relationships with RIAs.
