Thursday, January 9, 2003 Banc One Unveils New Program Banc One Securities has quietly launched a managed account program for its proprietary network of financial advisors. The bank is focusing the Managed Account Portfolios platform primarily on high-net-worth specialists and is currently offering 14 investment managers. Fully 200 advisors are currently working with the plaform, confirmed a Banc One spokesperson. She added that 155 of those advisors work with high-net-worth investors as part of the Private Client group. Another 45 advisors from the bank's retail group are qualified to work with the platform. Those advisors work in the bank's branch network. The platform has been live since November 6 of last year, but the bank has not released the amount of assets it has attracted so far. The 14 managers are the program include mostly separate account specialists rather than retail brands.
