Asset Manager Lures an RIA Exec from Direxion


HSBC Global Asset Management (USA) Inc. [profile] has hired Angelo Pirri as vice president, Registered Investment Advisor Sales based in San Francisco.

He was most recently with Direxion [profile], where he was director of sales.

In this newly created role, Angelo will be responsible for distributing HSBC Global Asset Management’s range of emerging market and international investment products through RIAs, Trust Companies, Private Banks and Family Offices on the West Coast.

He reports to Damion Hendrickson, Senior Vice President and National Head of RIA Sales at HSBC Global Asset Management.

Angelo has more than 20 years of financial services experience and has spent more than a decade working directly with the RIA channel. He was most recently with Direxion, where he was Director of Sales. Angelo has previously worked at other leading firms including Deutsche Bank, Julius Baer Investment Management and Merrill Lynch Investment Managers.
