Bridget Hughes, associate director of fund analysis, discusses the mutual fund giant's challenges going forward and wonders if Vanguard will maintain its status. Morningstar gives Vanguard an "A" for stewardship. Yet Hughes notes that "there's more work to be done," such as Vanguard's efforts to build out overseas, even as she worries about whether the world's largest mutual fund company "could grow bigger still without getting bogged down in bureaucracy."
