ETF Roundup: Barron's Likes Short-Term Bond ETFs


Barrons' Johanna Bennett recommended a few pharmaceutical ETFs for investors looking to get exposure to the industry. The S&P Pharmacuetical index rose 24 percent since the beginning of the year, Bennett pointed out.

She suggested investors take a look at BlackRock [profile] iShares US Healthcare ETF and Elect Sector Health Care Select Sector SPDR Fund, State Street Bank & Trust [profile] SPDR S&P Pharmaceuticals ETF, Invesco [profile] PowerShares Dynamic Pharmaceuticals Portfolio and iShares US Pharmaceuticals ETF.

Bond investors are turning to ultra-short-term bond ETFs now that interest rates are going up, Barrons' Chris Dieterich writes. Vanguard [profile] Short-term Bond, which raked in $3.7 billion brought in the most bond ETF flows and iShares Short Treasury Bond ETF doubled in size so far this year, Dieterich reports.
