Friday, August 16, 2013 Raymond James Gives RIAs Alt Access Raymond James Financial will provide RIAs access to alternative investment platform beginning in September, InvestmentNews' Dan Jamieson reports. Raymond James Alternative investment Group provides research and support for alternative mutual funds as well as managed futures, hedge funds and private real estate, Jamieson writes. Alternative products' pricing had to be changed for RIAs. The division's president, Bill Van Law, was quoted as saying to Jamieson, "What we've done is taken excess amount of fees and commissions, and paid the balance back to clients."
