Index Fund Investors Brush Off the Nasdaq Glitch as a "Complete Non-Event"

Index fund investors responded to Nasdaq's technical glitch last week with a shrug of the shoulders, Rick Ferri writes in Forbes. Ferri spoke to several index fund investors and advisers to gage their reaction on what was quite an ordeal for many investors.

Taylor Larimore, founder member of the Bogleheads forum, was quoted by Ferri as saying, "I read the headline about a Nasdaq problem but didn't bother to read the rest. Allan Roth, the founder of Wealth Logic, a financial planning and investment advisory firm, told Ferri the glitch was a " complete non-event." Mike Piper, who runs the Oblivious Investor blog and contributes to the Wall Street Journal, echoed his sentiment, as Ferri quoted him as saying, "I would be surprised if most long-term index investors with appropriately diversified portfolios even noticed."
