A top legal eagle has found a new aerie.

Kevin Handwerker has joined GAMCO, where he will serve as executive vice president, general counsel and secretary.

He had previously served for 12-years as managing director and general counsel at Neuberger.

RYE, N.Y.--GAMCO Investors, Inc. (NYSE:GBL) announced today that Kevin Handwerker has joined the firm as Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary.

Kevin joins GAMCO from Neuberger Berman LLC where he served as Managing Director and General Counsel for twelve years.

Previously, Kevin held senior positions in National Financial Partners Corp. and J.P. Morgan Investment Management Inc. He began his law career at Shearman & Sterling representing financial institutions and other entities in public and private financings, mergers and acquisitions and merchant banking transactions. Kevin received his J.D. from Fordham University School of Law after earning his B.S. in Accounting summa cum laude from the State University of New York at Albany.
