Steers Finds a New Marketing Chief

Bob Steers just hired a new marketing chief.

Yesterday in Cohen & Steers' [profile] second quarter 2014 earnings call with analysts, Steers confirmed that Todd Glickson joined the New York City-based, real estate-focused asset manager as senior vice president in charge of global marketing and product solutions [see Seeking Alpha's full transcript of the earnings call]. Glickson succeeds Tony Ialeggio, who left Cohen & Steers earlier this year.

MFWire could not immediately reach Glickson for comment on his new position.

An alum of Hartford Investment Management and Federated Investors, Glickson most recently served as managing director for product development and strategy at Principal Global Investors. MFWire could not immediately reach a Principal spokesperson for comment on how Glickson's duties are being handled.

As for Ialeggio, in February he joined non-profit, institutional manager of managers Commonfund as chief marketing officer, reporting to freshly promoted Commonfund Securities president Keith Luke. (Sales and client service also report to Luke.) A 10-year AllianceBernstein veteran and an alum of GE Capital, Ialeggio joined Cohen & Steers four years ago.

"I had a great run there," Ialeggio says of Cohen & Steers.

Commonfund's location and its laser focus on serving endowments and foundations attracted Ialeggio to the firm, which manages $25 billion.

"I live out in Connecticut. We're headquartered out here," Ialeggio tells MFWire. "Everybody here really lives and breathes the mission of our clients."
