A Southern Bank Expands Its Fund Lineup to 14

A Southern Bank just expanded its mutual fund lineup to fourteen.

Yesterday David Lundgren, senior vice president and managing director of the Hancock Horizon Funds [profile], confirmed the debuts of the Hancock Horizon Microcap Fund, the Hancock Horizon International Small Cap Fund, and the Hancock Horizon Dynamic Asset Allocation Fund. Gulfport, Missippi-based Hancock Horizon has $2.4 billion of assets under management and is part of the Hancock Holding Company, parent of Hancock Bank and Whitney Bank.

The international small cap fund is subadvised by $3-billion-AUM international small specialist GlobeFlex and PMed by GlobeFlex's Robert Anslow and James Peterson. The other two new funds are managed internally at Hancock Horizon: Anthony Slovick and Steve Solomon PM the microcap fund, while Austin Zaunbrecher PMs the dynamic asset allocation fund.

"At Hancock Horizon Funds, we always are seeking to discover new strategies to enhance the portfolio, provide investor benefits, manage risks and offer opportunities to produce excess returns in today's equities climate," Lundgren states.
