What's Next After USAA's New Global Equity Income Fund?

USAA Investments just launched a new equity mutual fund, and ETFs are coming soon.

Last month the military-focused insurer's asset management arm unveiled the USAA Global Equity Income Fund [profile] (UGEIX).

"Next on our plate really is launching ETFs," Paul Fulmer, assistant vice president of product development at USAA, tells MFWire. "We're expecting to go to market with actively managed ETFs early next year."

In April USAA filed with the SEC to launch active ETF shares for some of its mutual funds in a style similar to the one patented by Vanguard in 2005.

USAA has about $67 billion in mutual fund AUM across 53 mutual funds.
