"Given the parallels we see between rowing and investing, the partnership makes a lot of sense," a BNY spokesman states in a note to MFWire. BNY Mellon is the presenting sponsor for the third consecutive year. When it comes to rowing and investing, "both require dedication, high performance, ambition, teamwork, etc."

BNY Mellon's team of rowers consists of employees from around the world and is schedule to compete in the Club Eights category. Crew members come from BNY Mellon Investment Management and Wealth Management, including some of the company's boutiques.

Frederick V. Schoch, executive director of the Regatta, states, "The Regatta is a cherished Boston tradition, and BNY Mellon’s sponsorship of the race weekend adds further luster to that legacy. This sponsorship is not only a boon for our race, but really for the City of Boston as a whole."

The Head of the Charles Regatta takes place tomorrow on the Charles River, which separates Boston and Cambridge, Massachusetts.

"For decades, athletes competing in the Head Of The Charles Regatta have exemplified the values we hold strong within our company -- collaboration, hard work and dedication -- and we commend the sacrifice and excellence put forward by every competitor in the race," states BNY Mellon Investment Management CEO Curtis Arledge.

On average, the Regatta is expected to garner up to 400,000 fans and bring more than 600 universities, colleges and schools to the Boston area. Boston is the home of BNY Mellon Wealth Management, Investment Services, Investment Management, and several of BNY Mellon Investment Management’s boutique shops.
