VIM Hires a Private Banking Alum For a MASSive Spot

Paul Zemsky just hired a private banking and wirehouse alumnus for a key job at Voya Investment Management [profile].

Barbara Reinhard
Voya Investment Management
Managing Director
Zemsky, chief investment officer for the multi-asset strategies and solutions (MASS) team at New York-based VIM, confirms the addition of Barbara Reinhard as of head of asset allocation for the MASS team. Reinhard most recently served as managing director and chief investment officer in the private banking division of Credit Suisse.

MFWire could not immediately reach a Credit Suisse spokesperson for comment on how Reinhard's duties are being handled. Reinhard's move comes as the Swiss multinational bank is effectively exiting the U.S. private banking business.

The 25 MASS investment professionals oversee $27 billion in AUM as of December 31 (out of VIM's more than $200 billion in total AUM). They "design customized and packaged multi-asset solutions, including target-date funds."

Reinhard is an alumnus of Trinity College. Prior to joining Credit Suisse in 2011 she led investment communications at OpFunds and spent 19 years on the wealth management side at Morgan Stanley.
