William Blair Will Shutter a 4.5-Year-Old Fund


Later this spring William Blair [profile] will shut down a mutual fund that is more than four and a half years old.

Portfolio Manager on Large Cap Value Fund
The Chicago-based investment bank reveals in a filing with the SEC that on June 15 the $2.9-million, two-star William Blair Large Cap Value Fund will liquidate. The fund is closed to new investments in the meantime.

A spokesman for William Blair was not immediately able to comment for this story.

William Blair associate David Hone, who joined the firm in 2011, has PMed the William Blair Large Cap Value Fund since its inception in October of that year.
