Federated Securities Corp. includes about 200 people and is Federated Investors' U.S. distribution arm. Publicly-traded Federated is based in Pittsburgh and had $369.7 billion in AUM as of March 31.

Territ first joined Federated in 1983. Uhlman started at Federated in 1990 as a client service administrator, and for his "entire career" he has worked with Territ.

"I've reported to Tom for the last 10 years," Uhlman tells MFWire

"I don't envision big changes," after he takes the reins, Uhlman adds.

Uhlman is an alumnus of the University of Pittsburgh and of Columbia.
