Who Will Lead Intermediary Distro For This $406B Asset Manager?

Paul Price is searching for a key distribution executive in a newly created role.

Paul Price
Morgan Stanley Investment Management
Global Head of Distribution
Word amongst fundsters is that London-based Price, Morgan Stanley Investment Management's [profile] global head of distribution, is going to hire someone for the brand new position of head of intermediary distribution for North America.

A spokeswoman for MSIM declined to comment for this story.

Morgan Stanley sold retail asset manager Van Kampen to Invesco in 2010. Yet Morgan held onto its institutional asset management business, MSIM. Also in 2010, Price, an alumnus of both University College Dublin and Dublin City University and a veteran of Pioneer and MFS, joined MSIM as head of international distribution. He rose to global head of distribution in 2013.

MSIM had $406 billion in AUM as of June 30, 2016. Morningstar estimates that, as of August 31, 2016, MSIM has $26.030 billion in mutual fund AUM (not including money market mutual funds).
