Riedel Promotes a 15-Year T. Rowe Distro Vet

A veteran T. Rowe Price [profile] distribution leader was promoted over the summer.

John Halaby

Head of Financial Institutions
Last month John Halaby became the Baltimore-based, publicly-traded mutual fund shop's head of financial institutions, a company spokeswoman confirms. Prior to that, Halaby most recently served as head of the financial advisor segment in T. Rowe's U.S. investment services division.

Halaby succeeds and reports to George Riedel, who was promoted in June to head of U.S. intermediaries. The spokeswoman says that Halaby is "responsible for deepening [T. Rowe's] partnerships with financial institutions, home offices, and advisors."

Tom Morelli

Vice President, Head of Broker/Dealer, United States Investment Services - Financial Institutions
Halaby's old role now falls under Tom Morelli, vice president and head of broker-dealer national accounts, U.S. investment services - financial institutions.

Halaby is an alumnus of Cornell University. He has 15 years at T. Rowe in a variety of distribution roles, and he previously worked at Scudder (now part of Deutsche).
