This announcement came on the heels of Mark Spina's resignation from the position. He is now head of U.S. private client services at Russell Investments.

Palmer has been at Pioneer for over 12 years in a variety of sales leadership roles, including national sales manager of the intermediary channel and chief of staff for the intermediary team. Previous to this appointment, Palmer was head of cross channel distribution.

According to Geoff Smith, a spokesperson for Pioneer, the company is not currently releasing plans for filling Palmer's previous position. Additionally, there is no timeline currently in place for appointing a permanent replacement for Spina.

"Laura has extensive experience as a leader across all of our distribution channels. She is supported by a strong and deep team, and we expect a smooth transition," states Smith.
