"A mutual fund is available to a lot more different types of investors than a hedge fund is," states Jerry Szilagyi, CEO of Rational Funds and Catalyst Capital Advisors LLC.

The mutual fund will employ the same strategy as the hedge fund, and it will retain the same management. The fees of the mutual fund, however, will be different than when the fund employed the hedge fund structure.

Rational Funds is a fund firm that was founded in 2001. Currently, they are the investment advisor to six funds, and plan on adopting more into their platform in the future. Much like their name, they are committed to making investment decisions void of emotion, instead, basing them on proven, repeated and computable sources of return.

Gemini Fund Services, LLC serves as the fund's administrator, accountant and transfer agent. The Huntington National Bank serves as the fund's custodian. Northern Lights Distributors, LLC serves as the fund's distributor.

Rational Funds is currently in the process of adopting more mutual funds for their platform.
