This morning the Deutsche Asset Management ETF team is hosting a fixed-income media breakfast roundtable at their offices in midtown. ETF strategist Rob Bush, fixed income PM Tanuj Dora, and ETF capital markets chief Luke Oliver are all scheduled to appear to talk to reporters. Topics on the agenda include: "what the post-election/rates environment means for investors, portfolio construction, passive investing, etc."

Later today Bill Yun and his fellow alternatives executives at Franklin will host a media luncheon at the Modern restaurant at the MoMA, also in midtown. In addition to Yun, four other Franklin execs scheduled to appear include: Charmaine Chin, PM and managing director of Franklin's K2 Advisors; Robert Christian, senior managing director and head of investment research at K2; Wilson Magee, PM and director of real estate and infrastructure securities for Franklin Real Asset Advisors; and David Saunders, CEO and founder of K2. The theme of the Franklin luncheon is "Alternative Investing in 2017: Considering Trump's Impact." Topics on the agenda include: "how alternatives ... are positioned to benefit from market dislocations caused by political and economic changes under Trump in 2017 and beyond."
