A 28-Year American Funds Vet Retires

A senior vice president on the external sales force at American Funds [profile] has left after 28 years with the company. MFWire has learned that New York-based Ruth Collier retired last month.

"We are appreciative of Ruth's contributions over the years. We wish her all the best in her next chapter," a company spokesperson from Capital Group, the asset manager behind American Funds, tells MFWire.

Collier was most recently an SVP and regional wholesaler for the company. She worked with financial advisors through the company's non-institutional wealth management business.

Correspondence with Collier's company email has been redirected to Paul Santoro, a Boston-based northeast division manager at American Funds.

An alumna of Tufts University, Collier holds dual bachelor's degrees in English and music.
