Today MarketCounsel chief Brian Hamburger and his team will kick off their 11th annual MarketCounsel Summit for RIAs and their allies. This year's conference, which will continue tomorrow and Wednesday before wrapping up on Thursday, is being held at the Four Seasons in Las Vegas. Headliners expected to appear include: Vanguard group founder Jack Bogle; former EBSA chief Phyllis Borzi; Financial Services Institute (FSI) chief Dale Brown; Fidelity Institutional president Mike Durbin; former U.S. Vice President Al Gore; Wells Fargo Advisors chief David Kowach; Wall Street Journal columnist Jason Zweig; and Hamburger himself.

Tomorrow morning in New York City, AB chief Seth Bernstein will speak at the 2018 Goldman Sachs U.S. Financial Services Investor Conference. Gary Shedlin, chief financial officer of BlackRock, is expected to speak Wednesday morning at the same conference.

Also tomorrow in New York, Hennessy Advisors chief Neil Hennessy and his team will host their 11th annual Hennessy Funds Market Outlook and Hennessy Cornerstone Mid Cap 30 Fund Rebalance Press Luncheon, again at Mastro's Steakhouse. Hennessy himself and PM Ryan Kelley are expected to speak at the lunch.

On Wednesday, the U.S. stock exchanges (including CBOE, Nasdaq, and the NYSE) will all close in observance of the National Day of Mourning in honor of former U.S. President George H.W. Bush, who died last Friday.

Also on Wednesday, the Opal Group team will kick off their 2018 Alternative Investing Summit. The three-day event is being held at the Ritz Carlton in Dana Point, California.

On Thursday, Macquarie Investment Management deputy global chief Shawn Lytle and his team will host a 2019 equities and fixed income outlook press luncheon at Estiatorio Milos in New York City. Macquarie global fixed income co-chief Roger Early, global equities chief John Leonard, senior small and mid-cap value PM Kelly McKee, and Lytle himself are all expected to speak.
