Two Years In, a Channel Chief Leaves Am Century

A channel chief is leaving American Century [profile].

Jay Hummel is moving on from the Kansas City, Missouri-based mutual fund firm, MFWire has learned. Hummel joined American Century in September 2016 as senior vice president of direct sales and service and head of the personal financial solutions business.

Michael Schoonmaker, head of private client group and relationship management - personal financial solutions, did not return a call for comment.

An alumnus of the University of Cincinnati's Lindner College of Business, Hummel worked at Envestnet, Lenox Wealth Management, Ward Group, and Deloitte & Touche before joining American Century.
