Three U.S. asset managers are among the 10 "most diverse and inclusive organizations globally," according to a financial markets data giant.

The Royal Bank of Canada (parent of RBC Global Asset Management, i.e. RBC GAM) ranks third on Refinitiv's 2019 D&I Index Top 100, released yesterday. BlackRock ranks fifth on the list, while Allianz (parent of Allianz Global Investors) ranks eighth.

The list is based on a snapshot — from June 30, 2019 — of Refinitiv's Diversity and Inclusion Index, which ranks more than 7,000 companies around the world. The four pillars for ranking are controversies, diversity, inclusion, and people development. The index launched in 2016.
