Nine Years In, a Pimco EVP Exits


New York City-based Erik Aarts, executive vice president and account manager in the private client group at PIMCO, is leaving the Newport Beach, California-based firm, MFWire has learned. Aarts began this role in 2017.

A PIMCO spokesperson tells 401kWire that Aarts's "duties were absorbed by the broader team."

In his former role, Aarts developed business relationships with RIAs, trust banks, and multi-family offices in the southeastern region of the United States.

Aarts joined Pimco in 2011, as executive vice president, account manager, head of product specialist group. In his nine years at PIMCO, he transitioned into executive vice president, account manager of the investment due diligence group (until 2016) before taking up his former position.

Aarts has 19 years of experience in the industry, and prior to joining PIMCO he was the managing director and head of product management at Allianz Global Investors (a sister company to Pimco).

He received a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the RRPI and later received an MBA from RPI's Lally School of Management.
